Mad dog skullcap seed packets for the Hudson Valley Seed Co. This plant has been historically used for soothing anxiety and insomnia. It got the name “mad dog” from also being used as a rabies treatment. So I illustrated a “mad” coyote being soothed by resting on a bed of flowers. Her eyes hooded as she is about to drift into a pleasant rest. I’d very much like to be doing just the same right now.
